Master of Urban Design, Department of Architecture and Planning hosted the implementation of PKRK (Urban Design Professional Development). PKRK is a Continuing Professional Development program that must be followed by all members of the Urban Design Experts Association (IARKI) to ensure the achievement of comprehensive urban design competencies. The event took place online and offline on Saturday (13/7) in room K1, Department of Architecture and Planning.
The event was officially opened by remarks from N. M. Gito Wibowo as Vice Chairman of IARKI and Ir. Deva Fosterharoldas Swasto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM. as Head of the Department of Architecture and Planning Engineering. This PKRK module 301 activity consists of 2 sessions. Session 1 began in the morning with the theme “Behavioral & Socio-Cultural Aspects of the Community” with speakers by Prof. Bambang Hari Wibisono, MUP, M.Sc., Ph.D. (Professor of DTAP UGM) and Ardhyasa Fabrian Gusma, S.T., M.Sc. (A+A Studio). Participants who attended online and offline seemed eager to deepen their knowledge on the topic.
The enthusiasm continued to session 2 in the afternoon which raised the theme “Communication and Urban Design Research” with speakers Ardhya Nareswari, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Lecturer of DTAP UGM) and Ahmad Rifai, M.A., M.Sc. (Co-founder of Kota Kita). Although the event lasted until late afternoon, the participants were still enthusiastic in expressing their opinions and questions for the speakers.
